| So I've decided that I hate my apartment, and on top of that, renting in general. Furthermore, I decided I am going to purchase my own place. I went with an agent to see some coops nearby yesterday, and found a real good deal on a 1 bed fixer on the top floor. I'm working the owner down, they're already close to where I would comfortably seal a deal. I'm not sure if this is too fast or what, considering I made these decisions on a whim, but it seems like a great investment given the area. I guess time will tell; I'll keep you updated.
I won a trip to Oaxaca Mexico from Dos Equis, pretty much by accident. Should be interesting, at the very least its a free trip, how bad could it be? Oddly enough, it landed right on my last week of vacation for the year, how coincidental is that?
Update: Got the pre-approval letter for the mortgage, so things should be moving at a fairly slow pace from now on haha. | | |
| Metro North Hudson Line. WTF DUDE!? You're only on time when I'm running late, and anyone over 3 feet tall doesn't fit comfortably in ANY position on your slick-plastic-and-rock seats. You're like a torture device with a view. Well, the view you WOULD have if there wasn't scratch-itti all over the windows. Then you have the AUDACITY to take a path that loses 3g for half the trip. Man, I wish you weren't so cheap.

| $48 for wiper blades to pass inspection? Are we talking about the same car? Very funny, cut the jokes. Then they give me a heads up that my next service includes $330 for a "recommended or your warranty is void" automatic tranny service (on a new car) and $185 for spark plugs. I'm too ashamed to make a police report for sodomy :/ luckily I can do most of this maintenance myself. But if they're charging it, that means someone is actually paying it...good lord!
Must be VW Techs

| The door leak and wind noise is a common problem on MKVI GTI 3 doors, they probably have to pull in the doors (making them not flush.) FML!!! | | |
| He had a good run. By now I'm sure everyone has heard of the sentence handed down to Bernie Madoff for his Ponzi Scheme: 150 years. Are you freakin kidding me? You only have to serve 15 before you're eligible for parole for cold blooded Murder! MURDER!! KILLING SOMEONE!!! Of course, its all a show, since he's 71 years old. Even the minimum 12 year sentence would have been as good as life. It still just seems ridiculous that a crime where people lost money, which they were investing and knew they could lose even under normal conditions, is taken more seriously than most murders. Its sad how obvious the fact that money is more important than life is. | | |
